Launch Event

The Animal History Group launched on Wednesday 16th November 2016, with an evening reception at King’s College London.

We welcomed all those with an interest in the history of animals and during the course of the evening we presented our vision of the group’s purpose and structure, as well as an outline of the future programme of meetings. It was also an opportunity for guests to network and make connections.

It was fantastic that we were able to get so many people interested in Animal History from across London and further afield, together in one room for the evening. Topics of conversation were diverse and included vivisection and animal experimentation, zoo architecture, photography, stranded whales, greyhounds and so much more.

We really enjoyed ourselves and hope that those of you who were able to join us did too!

Below you can see just a few of the photos taken during the course of the evening.
